Twin Rivers Point is a right-hand point that breaks over boulders and turns into a fast, tubing wall when it lines up. It sits about a 30-minute drive from Ucluelet, and on the right swell it is well worth the trip when the closer beachbreaks are flat.
When It Works
The point draws swell from southwest through northwest, with a solid west (W) swell the best match to get the wall firing. It works from 0.9 m / 3 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft, so you want some real size pushing in before making the drive up.
Wind and Tide
Look for a north (N) offshore wind to clean things up. The point can work across low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This is an expert-level wave. When it lines up it delivers a fast tubing wall, but there are sharp rocks in the mix and a local crew in the water, so it rewards surfers who know how to handle both.
Access
Reach the point on foot from the Mussel Beach campground, which also gives you camping right by the break.
