Overview
Village Reform is a super-fast right that peels just beyond the new harbour jetty going up at Sopi. It breaks over live coral and sits on the shallow side of rideable, so it rewards experts who are comfortable on a thin reef. One saving grace is convenience: it's one of the easiest waves to reach in town, sharing the area with a beachbreak and flanking reefs that hold average waves at best.
When It Works
The reef draws swell from north through east (N-E), with north (N) swell the best match. It's usable from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 1.2 m / 4 ft, and it tends to be moderately consistent, so decent windows show up without being an everyday thing.
Wind and Tide
Look for southeast (SE) offshore wind to clean it up. Tide is the deciding factor here: mid to high tide is a must, and a rising tide is generally the better call.
Local Tips
This is an expert-only wave, thanks to the speed and the shallow live coral underneath. The lineup usually stays fairly quiet, so you won't be fighting for waves when it's on. Most sessions here happen on lazy afternoons when the longer trip to Serenade feels like too much effort.
