Werri Beach is a popular surf spot located on the south coast of New South Wales. It's known for its solid beach breaks that can cater to different swell sizes and directions. While it can get crowded during the summer months, especially when the caravan parks fill up, it remains a favorite for both locals and visitors looking to catch some waves.

The surf here is quite varied. Werri Beach works best with east swell, particularly from the northeast, and can handle swell sizes of around 1ft (0.3 meters) or more. You’ll find both left and right beach breaks, making it suitable for surfers of different skills. The northern end offers nice A-frames during northeast swells and suitable wind conditions are from the west. Low, mid, and high tides all produce surfable waves, but the break is best at low to mid tide. Do note that while conditions can be fun for beginners, there are challenging sections, especially with barrels that break hard over shallow rocks.

As Werri Beach gets pretty busy in the summer, it’s a good idea to head out early if you want to avoid the crowds. Surf etiquette goes a long way here, and being mindful of other surfers will help everyone enjoy their time in the water.
