Wushi surf guide

Wushi is located just north of Toucheng and features a black sand beach that makes it a popular spot for surfers in the area. The beach has jetties at its south end, which can help shape the waves, especially during the winter months when the NE swells are more consistent. Despite its appeal, Wushi can get pretty crowded since it's one of the few places along the coast that offers decent surf.

The waves here generally break over sand, and the spot works well with southeast swells, but you can also catch some action with north and southeast swells. Most surfers can expect the waves to be good at sizes of around 1ft (0.3m), making it suitable for beginners as well. Wushi has both left and right-breaking waves, giving surfers a bit of variety to choose from. With ideal wind coming from the northwest, you’ll enjoy a better surfing experience whether you’re catching waves during low, mid, or high tide.

It's good to note that Wushi is a friendly spot for beginners to practice their skills, thanks to the gentle waves and sandy bottom. Just be prepared for a bit of company out in the water, as many other surfers might be looking to enjoy a session on the waves here.
