Agiba Cove is a left-hand point tucked into a fjord-like bay past Marsa Matruh, with Obbayad Beach just to the east. On its day it produces a clean, well-shaped left that peels over an uneven reef. The rock is shallow and sharp, so this is a wave that rewards a confident, deliberate approach.
When It Works
The bay draws swell from west through northwest, with northwest (NW) the best match. It works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft, but the deep-set, fjord-like shape means it really needs a solid swell to wrap in and stand up, often only reaching around shoulder high even when the rest of the coast is firing.
Wind and Tide
Look for southwest (SW) offshore wind to clean up the face. The point can work through low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This one suits intermediate surfers. Between the shallow, sharp reef and the swell it takes to get the bay working, it pays to time your session for when everything lines up rather than paddling out on the off chance.
