Overview
Anse Cafard is a sand-bottomed beach break sitting right next to Diams, close to the slavery memorial sculptures on the shore. It throws up both lefts and rights, though the waves are usually short, sharp closeouts.
When It Works
The break draws swell from the northeast through to the southeast, with southeast (SE) swell the best match. It's usable from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft and tends to be moderately consistent, so there are workable days without it firing all the time.
Wind and Tide
Look for northwest (NW) offshore wind. It can work across low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
The waves are approachable enough for beginners, and the lineup usually stays fairly quiet when it's on.
Access
There's free roadside parking near the sculptures.
