Bode is the northeastern end of the main Cacimba beach, breaking over a mix of uneven reef and sand and offering up both lefts and rights. It is well worth checking here to sidestep the pack at Cacimba.
When It Works
Bode draws swell from northwest through northeast, with northeast (NE) the best match, and it works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 3 m / 10 ft. It picks up some nice peaks in smaller, broken-up swells, and when a northeast swell shows, a righthand tunnel grinds off the reef slab for a longer, fast ride. Overall it stays moderately consistent.
Wind and Tide
Look for southeast (SE) offshore wind. It can work through low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call, and the cleaner peaks tend to show at mid tide.
Local Tips
The wave suits beginners, but it is only really friendly for them when it is small. Expect a moderately busy lineup when it is on.
