Boracéia is a long, sandy beach break that scatters peaks along its length, spreading surfers out and serving up shouldering walls to turn on. It peels both left and right, so there is room to find your own corner.
When It Works
Boracéia draws swell from east to south and stays consistent, so there are usually waves on offer. It works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft. Keep an eye out for stronger rips when an east swell is running.
Wind and Tide
Look for northwest offshore wind to clean it up; a southeast wind leaves it looking unappealing. It can work across low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
The mellow, shouldering walls make this a friendly spot for beginners. Expect a moderately busy lineup when it's working, though the peaks spread along the beach help share the crowd around.
