Cala Nova - Ibiza Surf Forecast Guide

Cala Nova is a beach break on Ibiza that peels both left and right over a mix of rock ledge and sand. It ranks among the most consistent spots on the island, though wave quality is generally poor and the peaks stay shifty. Sand-covered rocks in the centre of the southern part help stabilise a peak, but you'll still be chasing it around. It's a nice beach and a fun place to surf alongside a handful of friendly locals. If it isn't happening here, Cala Llenya just to the north is worth a look.

When It Works

The break draws swell from northeast through east-southeast to south (NE-ESE-S), with northeast swell the best match. It is usable from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft.

Wind and Tide

Look for northwest offshore wind. It can work through most of the tide, across low, mid, and high, with a rising tide generally the better call.

Local Tips

The mellow, shifty peaks make this a forgiving spot for beginners, and you'll usually share the water with a small, friendly local crew when it's on.

Access

A small car park overlooks the waves at the southern end, with roadside parking where you can find it in summer. Facilities include restrooms, showers, camping, and a lifeguard.
