Overview
Casamar is a beachbreak that peels both left and right over sand, sitting right next to the scenic Casamar Fort that juts out into the ocean. The nearest town is Tarfaya, the last major town in Morocco, home to around 4,500 people but without a quality hotel to stay in.
When It Works
The beachbreak draws swell from west to north (W-N) and is usable from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft, with peaks that offer up both lefts and rights.
Wind and Tide
Look for southeast (SE) offshore wind to clean up the faces. The bank works across low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
With its forgiving sand-bottom peaks, Casamar is a good spot for beginners.
Access
There's free parking at the spot.
