Cleopatra Beach is a mix of rocky beachbreaks and a left point sitting near the famous rock formation known as Cleopatra's Bath. Waves break over a combination of uneven reef and sand, and the beach serves up both lefts and rights.
When It Works
The break draws swell from west through north, with north swell the best match. It's usable from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft.
Wind and Tide
Look for south offshore wind. It can work across low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
The mellow waves here make it a friendly place for beginners to find their feet.
Access
Getting here can be tricky. The roads between the beach and Alexandria are hard to travel, and soldiers involved in smuggling control many of them.
