Overview
Crazy's is the only break on the east coast of the island, tucked into Goldsborough Bay just north of Scarborough. Waves peel both left and right over a sandy bottom, but this is very much a desperation session: a poor-quality wave that only comes alive in junky east windswells and never reaches head high.
When It Works
The bay draws swell from northeast through southeast, with east swell the best match. It's usable from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 1.2 m / 4 ft, and while it's only moderately consistent, the sandy beach setup serves up both lefts and rights when a windswell fills in.
Wind and Tide
Look for a west offshore wind to clean things up. It can work across low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This is an approachable, beginner-friendly wave, and the lineup stays fairly quiet even on the days it does break.
Access
Parking is easy and free, with roadside spots right by the break.
