Dedjoeng Wane is a right-hand reef break on Indonesia's south coast, breaking over an uneven reef. It's an off-season pick: on small days with northwest winds, the point can throw out good rights when much of the coast has gone flat.
When It Works
The reef draws swell from south through southwest, with south swell the best match. It's usable from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft. The best sessions tend to land on smaller days during the off-season, so the rights here come and go rather than turning on reliably.
Wind and Tide
Look for a northwest offshore wind to clean it up. The reef works through most of the tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
Dedjoeng Wane suits intermediate surfers.
