Overview
Graveyards is a beachbreak with plenty of peaks to choose from, breaking both left and right over a mix of uneven reef and sand. The scattered rocks make it an unforgiving spot, better suited to surfers already comfortable in the water than to anyone still finding their feet.
When It Works
It draws swell from the west through northwest (W-NW), and a west (W) swell lines up the peaks best. The break is usable from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft, covering everything from small, playful days to solid overhead surf.
Wind and Tide
Look for an east (E) offshore wind to groom the faces. It breaks on mid and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
With so many peaks on offer, there's room to spread out and find a bank that suits you, though the rocky bottom keeps this one firmly in intermediate territory.
Access
You'll find Graveyards opposite the cemetery, with parking above the beach and free roadside spaces to leave the car.
