Hawaiizinho surf guide

Hawaiizinho is a less crowded surf spot that offers some fun waves for surfers looking to escape the busier beaches. It's located along a long stretch of beach that leads up to Barra do Rio Curu. While it may not have the most consistent breaks, it can deliver some decent sessions, especially when the conditions align. If you're willing to take a bit of a trek, you might find yourself enjoying more space in the water.

For surfing, the optimal swell direction here is Northeast, but it can also handle swells from the Northwest and East. The spot works best with swell sizes starting from around 1ft (0.3m) and can get better at mid to high tides. You can expect both left and right beach breaks, with the waves breaking over uneven reef and sand. It’s generally suitable for intermediate surfers, so if you're still getting the hang of things, keep that in mind.

On a good day, you can find some nice peaks in that rocky corner, but it can get crowded on weekends if it's firing. The preferred wind direction is Southwest, which can help in cleaning up the waves. It’s worth checking out when the conditions are right, just be prepared for some variability.
