La Nave is a right-hand point break on the southern edge of the bay near Portonovo, a small town about 10 km south of Ancona on the north side of Mount Conero. It breaks over an uneven, rocky reef in good, clean water.
When It Works
The point draws swell from southeast through south (SE-S), with southeast (SE) the best match. It is usable from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft, and the longest, most powerful righthanders arrive on the big southeast swells.
Wind and Tide
Look for a southeast (SE) offshore wind. La Nave can work through low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
The wave suits intermediate surfers, and you can expect a crowded, localized lineup when it is on.

Parking is free, mostly along the roadside.
