Il Pescatore is a sand-bottomed beachbreak on the south side of San Benedetto's harbour, with scattered peaks spread along the beach that break both left and right. Water quality here is acceptable.
When It Works
The peaks pick up swell from northeast through southeast, with southeast (SE) the best match. On southeast swells you'll find extra peaks along the beach north of the harbour, so it's worth spreading out to hunt for the cleaner banks. It works from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft.
Wind and Tide
Look for a west (W) offshore wind. A strong onshore turns it unsurfable, so it needs a calmer window to come good. It can work through most of the tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
The scattered, mellow peaks make this an approachable spot for beginners. The lineup can get crowded when it's on.
Access
Getting in is easy, with free roadside parking nearby.
