Laga is a beach located in a scenic area surrounded by pine trees and impressive cliffs to the east. This spot can get crowded, especially on weekends, but it's definitely a nice alternative in winter when most beachgoers from nearby Gernika have cleared out. Parking is generally available except during the peak summer months.

The surf at Laga can be pretty decent, with a consistent beach break that produces all sorts of waves, including the occasional barrel. It works best with a Northwest swell and can handle sizes starting from around 2 ft (0.6 m). You can catch both left and right waves here, which makes it fun for different skill levels.
