Los Dedos is a sand-bottom beach break better known for the giant sculpted fingers half-buried in the sand than for any real punch in the lineup. You'll find both lefts and rights here, and it's an easygoing spot that suits beginners.
When It Works
The break draws swell from east through south (E-S), with southeast (SE) swell the best match. When a SE swell shows, the rights peeling off the rocky patch come to life and tend to draw the bodyboard crew. It's usable from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft and stays moderately consistent, so you can count on workable windows fairly often.
Wind and Tide
Look for northwest (NW) offshore wind to clean things up. The bank works across low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
This is a friendly spot for beginners finding their feet. Expect a moderately busy lineup when it's on, with a handful of surfers in the water and plenty of tourists on the beach.
Access
There's a good spread of facilities on hand, including restrooms, showers, a lifeguard, a surf school, and a surf shop. For parking, you can use the car park with free parking, or fall back on paid and roadside options nearby.
