Loutsa surf guide

Loutsa Beach is a long and wide sandy stretch located in a residential area, and it's often regarded as the most consistent beachbreak in Epirus. The beach picks up swells from the south and northwest, making it a decent spot for surfers looking for reliable waves. There’s free parking and easy beach access during winter, which is a plus for those who want to make the trip without too much hassle.

The surf here handles swell sizes starting from around 1 ft (0.3 meters) and you can ride both left and right waves. The best swell direction is from the southwest, but it also picks up swells from the south and northwest. Loutsa works well at low, mid, and high tides, but if you're just starting out or looking for a chill session, it's beginner-friendly. Northeastern winds are preferred for getting the best conditions.

Since Loutsa is mainly a beach break, you’ll find that the waves break over sand. This makes it a safer choice for less experienced surfers. Overall, it’s a solid spot to hit the waves, especially when the conditions align.
