Mytikas is a reliable left-hand reefbreak that peels over an uneven reef. It's an intermediate-friendly wave with a straightforward, consistent character when the swell lines up.
When It Works
The reef draws swell from west through northwest (W-NW), with a west swell the best match. It tends to fire on summer W or NW swells, so the warmer months are the time to keep an eye on it. Expect a rideable wave anywhere from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 1.8 m / 6 ft.
Wind and Tide
Look for an east offshore wind to clean things up. The reef works across the tide, though a rising tide is generally the better call.
Local Tips
This one suits intermediate surfers, so it's a good step up if you're comfortable reading a reef and want a dependable left.
Access
The break sits about a 200 m paddle offshore, near a football field that makes an easy landmark for lining it up.
