Plage des Nations surf guide

Plage des Nations is a beach break located in a scenic area that's not too crowded, making it a decent spot for surfers looking to escape the hustle and bustle. This spot works best during the summer months when conditions are more stable and offer a variety of peaks to ride. You can easily find different spots along the beach to catch some waves.

The surf here gets consistent small peaky, broken-up swells, especially with a northwesterly swell direction, but you can also catch waves coming from the west and north. It handles swell sizes starting from about 1 foot (0.3 meters) and offers both left and right waves. Since Plage des Nations breaks over sand, it’s generally beginner-friendly but is more suited for intermediate surfers who can navigate the currents and inconsistent waves. For best results, aim to surf when the wind comes from the east and during low, mid, or high tides for more wave options.

Keep in mind that while reflections from the currents can be a hassle, the lack of crowds allows for a more relaxed surfing experience. Just be ready to deal with some close-outs too, especially when the conditions aren't ideal. Overall, it's a spot worth checking out if you're looking for a more laid-back surf session.
