Overview
Playa de Robayero, also known as Robayera, is a longish left-hand rivermouth that peels over sand into the Rio Pas. It suits intermediate surfers and can throw speedy, hollow sections when it lines up.
When It Works
The break draws swell from west through north (W-N), with a northwest (NW) swell the best match. It's usable from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 2.4 m / 8 ft.
Wind and Tide
Look for a south (S) wind, which blows offshore here. It works on low and mid tide, and a rising tide is generally the better call.
Local Tips
This is an intermediate-level left. Be aware of some currents running through the rivermouth, and expect a degree of localism in the lineup.
Access
Reaching the wave means a long walk down the beach through the Dunas de Liencres nature reserve from the main car park, or you can come in from the west side of the river. There's a car park with free parking, and camping is available.
