Iho Tewoo is a sandy beach break sitting near the airport on South Korea's Yellow Sea coast, throwing up both lefts and rights over a sand bottom.
When It Works
The break draws swell from the west through northwest, with northwest swell the best match. Because it faces the Yellow Sea, decent swell is rare and the surf can be somewhat inconsistent, so it pays to catch it on the right day. It works from 0.3 m / 1 ft to 1.2 m / 4 ft.
Wind and Tide
Look for a southeast offshore wind to clean things up. The beach can work across low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
The mellow sand-bottom peaks make this a friendly spot for beginners finding their feet. Expect a moderately busy lineup when it works.
Access
There are restrooms, showers, and a lifeguard on hand, plus a surf school if you want a lesson. You can park along the roadside or in the car park.
