Namwon is a surf spot located further east along the coast, known for its left slab wave. The area is not the easiest place to find consistent waves, but when the conditions align, it can offer a unique surfing experience. It’s not the most crowded spot, so you might have some space to work with if the swell is there.

This spot works best with a SouthEast swell and prefers a NorthWest wind to create the right conditions for surfing. When the waves roll in, they generally handle sizes around 2ft (0.6 meters) and break over rock ledges, making it a place suited for expert surfers. The waves typically break left and it’s recommended to hit the water during low to mid tide for the best ride.
