Overview
The Berries is a textbook right-hand point that breaks over a rock ledge. It throws lips and barrels out the back, then bends into mellow shoulders on the inside, so you get a hollow section up top and an easier wall to finish on.
When It Works
The point draws swell from east through south to southwest, with southeast swell the best match. It's usable from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 3 m / 10 ft and holds a consistent setup that turns up regularly.
Wind and Tide
Look for northwest offshore wind to keep the wall smooth, and steer clear of southwest wind, which roughs it up. The point works across low, mid, and high tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Local Tips
The Berries suits intermediate surfers. Expect a moderately busy lineup when it's on.

There's a car park with free parking, along with restrooms and camping. Queensbury Bay has a range of accommodation nearby, from a hotel to a campsite.
