Overview
Lossit Bay is a remote beachbreak that shapes both lefts and rights over a sand bottom. It's an out-of-the-way spot, so plan on a bit of effort to reach the water.
When It Works
The bay pulls in swell from southwest through northwest, and a northwest (NW) swell is the best match. It's usable from 0.6 m / 2 ft to 3 m / 10 ft. Keep an eye on the size, though: as the surf builds, Lossit Bay gets rippy and can be dangerous.
Wind and Tide
Look for an east (E) offshore wind to clean things up. The break works through most of the tide, with a rising tide generally the better call.
Access
Park at Lossit Farm if you can, then hike in to the beach. There's free roadside parking to fall back on.
